Silent Warriors attracted thousands
Over 72,000 people visited the Silent Warriors - the Chinese terracotta soldiers exhibition - at the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta.
The high calibre Silent Warriors exhibition, that had been open to the public between March and July, was visited by an average of 550 people each day.
At the end of July Chinese archaeologists came to Malta to assist Heritage Malta employees to dismantle the exhibition and pack the exhibits so that they would be flown back to China.
Heritage Malta chairman Mario Tabone closed the exhibition by symbolically removing the poster advertising the event in Republic Street. He immediately announced the upcoming exhibition entitled Il Chiaroscuro del Caravaggio.
